Memorial Weekend: Part 2

You get the pool pictures next since I have so many... golfing and the temple will be part 3. :)

We did lots of swimming while we were in St. George. It consumed the better part of our days while there (as you can tell by the overload of photos), but the kids were dying to do it since it had not been warm enough at home yet.
Scarlett was the best sport at the pool. She never complained about being cold and was happy to just do her own thing and on occasion would ask to jump off the side to one of us catching her. She's very low maintenance at the pool which was SO appreciated because Cohen was enough maintenance on his own.
Kanyon enjoyed playing catch with these little balls of Cohen's. He is not afraid of water and is a fish. He was swimming in the deep end under water with his goggles by the end. Although he is still the same as when he was a baby and would sometimes rather be laying in a lounge chair wrapped up warm in a towel eating snacks. We battled the hot tub with him because he is his father (Steve loves a good hot tub)... But Kanyon likes to sit in a hot tub when it's sweltering outside. I don't get it.

Here is Scarlett taking a break from swimming to have a snack too.
Cohen was our challenge at the pool and we quickly figured out that I will not be going to a public pool alone with the 3 kids this summer. He just doesn't have enough fear and I am not fast enough these days with being so pregnant.

Cohen is similar to Kanyon when he was a baby in a pool setting. He likes the water, but only for a short time and then he wants to run around eating snacks or be sitting in a hot tub. I think it's because he wants to do it himself, but we won't just let him loose in the shallow pool for kids so he'd rather be anywhere that he can run free of his parents. ;)

Yes, that's Cohen partially submerged in the water. Steve was spinning around with the 2 kids and Cohen was basically getting dunked every time. I'm always the one kindly reminding Steve to stop while the activity is still fun. ;) Ultimately if I don't, then someone ends up crying. That's a dad's job though, right? ;)

I can't remember what Scarlett was crying over specifically, but I took her picture and then said something about how she didn't look like a princess in that moment because she had such a sad face...
...and she instantly gave me this. Ha! What a girl.

The older two kids doing their best "high school musical" move in honor of staying at the place where they filmed the second movie. Recognize the pool? ;)

Part 3 (the final part) coming soon! :)
