Steve chose to have his family party on the Saturday before his birthday, so I made a brownie caramel cheesecake per his request. It was not the prettiest cheesecake, but it was really yummy! We ordered some Pier 49 pizza and had my parents and my brother Troy over. He blew out his 29 candles after we sang to him - we've decided that this really only happens now because the kids require it to happen. ;) There was way too much cheesecake left, but I have to say it was even better the next day because I didn't have time to chill it before we ate it that evening.
On Sunday, it was Steve's brother, Ken's, birthday. So, we went over there for dinner and cake with them. Then on Monday, Steve's official day, we got a babysitter and went out for dinner and a movie (If you know Steve... this makes perfect sense). Not just any ordinary movie experience though. We tried out the "d-box" seats at the District megaplex in South Jordan. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend trying it out. They are available with the Prince of Persia movie that is out right now but only in that megaplex here in Utah and only select other locations throughout the United States. Here is a link about them, if you're curious.
Happy Birthday, Steve!
