End of the Year Program

Kanyon is officially done with Preschool for the year. I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad about it. Happy that it means it's summer and we can have more freedom, but sad because he loves preschool and his friends there and I'm feeling pressure to have lots of fun things on the schedule every week when I'm mostly too tired to plan anything these days. ;)

Now if the weather would stay nice, then we would just swim and live outside... but it has yet to stay real nice for more than 2 days at a time so far. :/

Wednesday was Kanyon's last day of school and the day they did their little program for the parents. They were all so cute.

Here is Kanyon and his friend Gavin that he talks about daily, when they first walked in the room. Kanyon had just spotted his Grandma Jill and his Uncle Trent in the audience.

The whole bunch of them and his teacher, Mrs. Beach. Scarlett will have her next year and she's really excited because Kanyon has liked Mrs. Beach so much.
Kanyon's first speaking part.
Singing some songs...
His second speaking part.
More songs...
Getting his diploma from his teacher and giving her a hug.
Kanyon and his friend, Solee. They were carpool buddies this year and will be again next year in Pre-K. :)
It'll be so fun to have Kanyon and Scarlett at the same preschool together in the Fall. I'm also so glad we've decided not to send Kanyon to Kindergarden quite yet. He's ready academically, but I don't think I'm ready. ;) It'll just be me and the babies at home three mornings a week since I'll have just had this new little baby boy by the time school starts!

Preschool Christmas Program

I never blogged about this, but a week before Christmas Kanyon's class at school put on a little program. It was really cute. A couple of speaking parts and some really cute songs.
Here are some pictures and possibly a video if I can find one.

Kanyon and Gavin introducing their program. Gavin is the one in his class that he talks most about, so I thought it was cute they did this together. However, Kanyon totally has my shyness in front of crowds! You could tell he was embarrassed/nervous.

The kids were really cute. You could really tell Kanyon's age difference compared to most of them though. He's in a class of 3 year olds even though he's 4 because we aren't sending him to Kindergarten next year. In one song, they had to count with their fingers and I think he was the only one that had the right amount of fingers up at the right times. It was funny. At least I still feel like he's learning something there anyway!

Pre-School

Kanyon started pre-school on Monday! The long awaited day had come and he was seriously dressed and ready to go with his backpack on by 7:30am. :) He's been begging to go to school since last year, so today was exciting for him.
He had to show me his dinosaur backpack.
When I picked him up he said he had fun and likes his teacher, Mrs. Beach. I'm so glad he had a great first day. :) It's going to take me a bit of getting used to having to have him there on time and pick him up... it makes it so I can't go far in the morning on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays which is so strange! I actually have an obligation now and can't just do whatever I want to all week. I know he needs this social outlet though and that's okay, I can adjust to change. :)

Here to the beginning of the school years!
