Sunday - Chicago Trip cont...

Sunday evening, Steve's dad drove us out to see a friend's farm out past his place. He breeds paso fino horses. If you don't know what they are... check out this video. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen!

They are not taught to trot that way... they are just born with it and they said that even their little baby horses trot like that. They had 5 babies when we were there and one that was born just Friday night. The kids enjoyed it.

After giving us a tour of the nicest barn I have EVER seen, they were so nice to saddle up a horse and let the kids ride. Steve even took a turn. I was happy to just take pictures. ;) That's the horse trainer, Carlos, walking with Steve as he rode giving him instructions. He said Steve was pretty good!
Kanyon's turn.

Scarlett's turn. How cute are the kids in their riding helmets??

Then they brought out this stallion named Toledo and let Steve ride. He's a $300,000 horse, if you can believe it!
It was a really cool experience!
