Happy Mother's Day...
I experienced a couple of firsts today... Cohen gave me a lovely 5 hour stretch of sleep last night. Ahhh, it was nice. Happy Mother's Day to me. :) I have a feeling I would get more stretches like that if we could just get rid of those lights. In fact, I'm pretty sure we'll no longer even attempt to put them to use at night anymore.
Second, Kanyon got to sing to all the Mothers with the Primary kids today at church. It was the first time since he's been in Primary that he's been able to participate in singing. It was SO cute. I snuck in the back just in time to see him and his friend Solee walk hand in hand up to the front of the chapel. I was too far away to see if he was actually singing (I doubt it), but it was still so cute. Thanks to my friends, Nate and Meri, for bringing the kids to church again today... they might not want to sit with Steve or I after all this. ;)
Third, I got some great one on one snuggle time with Cohen... and even a little nap while Steve and the kids were at church. It reminded me of the good ol' days when I just had Kanyon and I would lay on the couch everyday with him on my chest sleeping. There is nothing better. :) And to think I thought I was busy with just one... haha!
The kids and Steve gave me a great Mother's Day gift... a fabulous new sewing machine! I have mentioned that I was in desperate need of one that does more than one or two stitches. ;) Now if only I could find the time to actually get it out of the box and play with it. Someday soon, I hope. They also gave me a nifty little steamer that Steve's had his eye on for a couple of months now. I joked with Steve that it can actually be his Father's Day gift because he loves it so much. ;) I really think it will get plenty of use however since I don't iron.
We went for a drive later tonight and dropped by at my parent's house to give my Mom a card. It was fun to spend an hour or so there visiting. My Mom says that Cohen is changing already and fattening up a little bit. I can't tell, but then again I see him every day. Better get some more newborn shots of him before he hits the 2 week mark this week.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies out there!

Sounds like you had a great day! I am so glad you got a little bit of sleep! Isn't it funny how we all thought one baby was a lot of work? :-)
We loved it! Weren't they SO cute up there?
