"Clippies"

I've made Scarlett a few felt clips lately (nothing fancy, just stuff I had on hand) because she's getting more hair and I'm trying to get her used to wearing something in her hair. It's a bit of an adjustment, but usually she's more than happy to keep them in at least for a couple hours before pulling them out. Well, this morning was a whole other story as I tried to get a picture of one of the new ones I made and had put in her hair... I heard this as she walked all around the kitchen crying... "I don't wanna wear a new clippies!" Then, of course, because she saw me taking pictures of her little tantrum she wanted to see the pictures. Of course the tears magically stop too. ;) When she sees herself on my LCD screen on the camera, she says... "That's a sad baby." Um, yes it is! Guess she doesn't recognize herself when she's crying. ;)

And finally, we got a place semi-setup for this new baby boy coming very soon... at least the crib is put together. Just have to get a crib mattress so I can put the bedding on it (the skirt is the only thing on it right now). And since moving some furniture around in Kanyon's room, we need to adjust the things on the walls again, but at least it's something!
Kanyon was pretty excited last night when I finished putting together the crib. He's looking forward to sleeping by the baby. I think it makes him feel important and big. We'll see if that novelty wears off though! Scarlett is getting a new big girl bedroom for her birthday in about 2 weeks, so I'll have some pictures of what I'm doing in there soon... :)

Haha. I love the last picture of Scarlett. It is sooo dramatic. Like she's about to pass out from the torture of her clippie. Good luck on the upcoming fun...ie delivering a child.
