We made it.

Well, we're here in Kaua'i after a very long travelling day. The picture above was taken not but an hour ago from our balcony of our condo, so the trip was worth it! The kids were actually pretty good on the flights, but Scarlett is definitely needing her own seat only because she thinks she does, not because she's 2 yet. ;) Kanyon was a good sport and shared with her but got tired of that after a bit. We got in Friday evening, so we spent Saturday grocery shopping for the condo and hitting the beach in the afternoon. I've found that I'm going to have some time to get online while we're here because we have some down time during the kids' naps and in the evening after they go to bed. I'm glad because it makes for a lot less work for me to blog after we get home. :)

Just a couple of pics from the beach yesterday afternoon and from the pool this morning...

Scarlett is facinated by the waves and loves to stand and let them get her... or they'll play chase and she'll run as fast as her chubby little legs allow. We have to watch her closely though because the waves are pretty strong. Scarlett also refused to walk or touch the sand when we first got there. She finally got over it and will now just play, but really doesn't love it on her hands or feet. ;) Kanyon couldn't care less... he practically bathed in it and his bathtub was full of it after we washed him up before bed last night.
A goggle situation with Scarlett... she really wanted to wear them and Kanyon wasn't as thrilled and tried to take them off, but didn't really succeed. We were lauging pretty hard, although Scarlett was not!

So far, it's been a great time. The weather is perfect... the kids are easy and Steve and I can just relax and watch them play. We are NOT missing the snow. ;)

Wow...I miss it. Looks like you are having a great time. Also, at Poipu Beach is a great playground for the kids with great snorkling and it is a good beach for kids too. Ken and Babata loved it with the kids. It is only about 1 mile from you. Have fun!!

I wish I was there! Especially as I look out and watch the snow come down. Ugh! Your pictures are beautiful! What a fun trip for you guys!

Thanks again for all the help with the camera stuff. You should seriously write a book. You explain things way better than anything I have read so far!
