(day 275)
Well, I finally did it. I had been feeling like a neglectful mom for the past year or so as I thought about getting Kanyon into the dentist but just never made that appointment... maybe it's because I, myself, really dislike going to the dentist. I guess a root canal here and a crown there can do that to you. Well, after I had a cavity free trip to the dentist last week, I must have been feeling pretty good about it because I made Kanyon an appointment. He was really excited because I told him that at the end you get to pick a prize. Of course, nothing could be better than that! So, we talked about it all week and the day finally arrived...
Kanyon was a champ. I have to say, I'm pretty dang proud that for the first visit he did everything! Yes, x-rays... the cleaning... flossing... and even the nasty flouride in the teeth trays! I was so proud of him, but too embarrassed to lug my big camera inside. :D So, I took a picture or two with my little one that stays in my purse, but really... I couldn't stand it so I took a couple here at home as well.
Here Kanyon is getting his teeth cleaned by the hygenist and then he and Scarlett posing for me. Scarlett was too excited not to sit in the magic chair.
My big 3 year old boy - cavity free and showing off his new toothbrush...
And I seriously can't believe that out of all the prizes in the box to choose from, my kid chose the PINK SWEAT BAND. Yes, that's right. What kind of dentist office has that tacky little item in the prize box anyway! I know all the girls will be swooning over my little man in the future... ;) I can't wait to see Steve's face when he checks out that little item...
All set until April! :)

Jacob would have gone for the pink sweatband, too. :P
Yay for a good trip to the dentist!
YEAH! Another tough guy that loves pink. Brady loves it too! He told me in the grocery store today that "Pepaw says pink is for girls." I reminded him that his big hero of a brother had worn a pink polo shirt to school today! ;-)
That's pretty hilarious about the pink wrist band. Its good to be that confident in his little manhood. haha!
