Bye Bye Dukie.. (Day 3)

Well, the time has come... we've found a new home for our little Pomeranian, Duke. Steve and I got him our first year of marriage before kids. Now that I've got two, Duke is more maintenance than I can fulfill now. Steve' s secretary at work is taking him and I'm happy that he'll have a home with 2 older kids to play with him there.

I think Kanyon will have a harder time saying goodbye. This is the face I got when I asked if Duke could live with Tracey...

He's a little concerned... but I'm ready for a peaceful home with no barking. ;)

Ha ha, AMEN to that. I can only imagine what my life would be like with a dog AND kids. I would have been locked up in the looney bin a long time ago.

Oh! That makes me want to cry. No more Kanyon talking about Dukie eating poop? Boo!

It will be wonderful to have a bark free - hair free home though. Good luck Duke!

Sad for Kanyon- Yeah for you! I don't know how you did it for so long, but power to you!

Bye bye Dukie! I can't blame you. ;) Kids and animals in the same house can be rough.

I told my kids yesterday after I got off the phone with you that Duke was going to go live somewhere else and even they were sad. At least we won't have to yell at them everytime Caden is pulling on Dukes tail, or Callie is chasing him around the house. It may bring things down one notch while we are there. :)

Hey Meghan,
I totally agreee....very bittersweet.
We had a great time with you guys on Christmas eve. Thanks for opening up your home to us.
By the way, where did you take that pic? THe one with the red door?

Thanks for all the nice comments... It was bittersweet while I was taking those pictures and then he was barking his head off again and I handed him over proudly. ;)

Lisa - the picture with the red door was taken in Springville in front of the Pier 49 pizza place. :)

Well don't feel bad. I only had Paisley for 2 months and I even had the audacity to blog about it. I also got her for free and then sold her for $200. You're a much better person than I.

...holding back the tears :( yet happy I was there for the farewell. Kanyon's and Steve's moments with him were precious. Not so much yours, Meghan. Haha! Just kidding. Thanks for the memories, Duke!
