A night on the town...

Although not as exciting as it sounds. ;) Anything where I can sit or walk around when it's all nice and quiet is a treat for me!

A little over a week ago, Steve took the kids and gave me the evening to go out and play with my new camera. It wasn't the best day for landscape shots because it was a little on the hazy side, but I enjoyed the alone time. :)

I hit up Utah Lake and got a couple shots of the sail boats docked.

Then I tried for Mt. Timpanogos before the sunset and the light was gone. Boy, time goes so fast when you're all by yourself!

On more shot I got that night. It was a full moon (I waited a little too long) and this was as close as I could get! :)

I know this time of year isn't the greatest... at least until there is some snow... but I'm *hoping* to make this a week or every other week thing. :) If you know of anywhere I could go to get some good landscape shots, let me know! I'm going to try out Sundance next, I think. I'd love to take the ski lift up and see what I find. :) Park City would be fun too... that requires a little more time than a couple hours in the evening though.

Oooo! I like! I was mentally picturing all of those up on my wall...well, maybe except for the moon. ;)

What a great husband you have to give you some quality alone time with your new camera. You got some great shots. You need to see some of the photo things Steve Ridges is doing. He has quite a little business with selling his pictures. It could be another business for you all.

Love you

Brenda

Beautiful landscape photos. What a fun little evening out - just you and your camera. Heber is another beautiful area I bet you could get some nice landscape shots at.

Hey, I just got my Nikon camera last night and I'm LOVING it!! I got the D40x. I still have a ton to learn, but I am so excited to not have to use my snapshot anymore. Hopefully I can take some pics almost as beautiful as yours!

Thanks Lillian! I should get up there to Heber since my grandma lives there. I have no excuse!
Congrats on that camera!! I'm sure you'll love the many more options that you have with it. :) What's your blog address again? I was trying to go there and can't remember how I found it last time since I can't get it through your profile. :)

It's www.niwix.com. I haven't yet posted photos with my new camera because our Internet has been maddeningly slow the last two days. Hopefully I can get some photos posted this afternoon. I took Jackson to the park today and used my camera outdoors for the first time and I am in love....

Seriously, you are a freaking pro. I'm glad you actually got to go take those pictures! I bet Steve is impressed! Thanks for going to R.S. with me last night. Did you devour that apple...yum!! Let's get together and make candy!! Love the Halloween pics too.
