But this time, it's a broken toe! Yes, we just got his stitches out on Tuesday and this happened yesterday evening. Steve and I were sitting on the couch last night deciding on dinner and watched it happen in slow motion - we just couldn't get there in time to save Kanyon from the dining room chair that he pulled over. It landed on his right foot and smashed his big toe. He cried for a while - longer than he ever does when he gets hurt and after watching him for an hour or so, he wouldn't walk on it. So, off to instacare we went... again! They x-rayed and confirmed the break, but could do nothing but tape it because it's a good break and should heal fine on it's own in 3-4 weeks. We have to keep him in hard soled shoes, so since he won't have anything to do with his regular shoes at the moment, we bought him these open toed sandals to get by. He is now hobbling around, favoring that foot a little bit. But, he's being tough about it and I think it will be fine... just a little more carrying than usual. Just what I need! ;)
