Big Girl Bed

I can't believe Scarlett is old enough for this... for her 2nd birthday we decided to redo her room for her big girl stuff and we got the bed we'd ordered last night. She was so excited to sleep in it (although we've kept her crib in her room for the time being, just in case). There were some uncertain tears a couple of times just after we laid her down, but she never wanted back in her crib. She slept the whole night without coming out of her room and only cried at 8am when she woke up this morning. She never sleeps that late, so I think maybe this bed is more comfortable than her crib. ;)

Here she is in her bed reading this morning. She is so proud of it. :)

I'll take pictures of the entire room as soon as I'm finished with it, but for now it's a little make-shift while we see if she really will transition quickly to this new bed without needing her old crib. So far, this is a dream compared to how Kanyon transitioned!

I'm so happy to be knocking things off my long list of "to do's before the baby"... I was told at my doctor visit this week that my fluid is low and they are monitoring me closely. But this could mean I don't have the full 4+ weeks that I thought I had, so I'm working hard to be ready just in case this little guy needs to come sooner.

So so cute! I love it! But funny because this is the same exact bed I have been wanting to get Halle from Pottery Barn! I love that it has a vintage feel to it like her room- I want to keep the same style I have in her nursery! She is still in her crib and I have to get her out, but I don't want to buy a bed until we move! Do you love it? Is it as cute as it is in the magazine?

That looks adorable! I am so nervous to ever move Emmett out of his crib because he is so attached to it. We can't even take the bumper pads off or else he wont sleep. He won't even sleep in our bed with us!

Heather - Kanyon was way attached to his crib too and I was trying to move him out at 18 mos because Scarlett was going to arrive. Um, it did not go well and he ended up sleeping in a pack 'n' play for about 6 months after that. haha!

Destiny - yes, totally didn't disappoint! :)

Mical - you can give me input on the rest of the decor. ;)
