A Long Day...

(day 28)

Well, I just found that I have internet access here at the hospital, and while it's a little slow, it works. ;)

I thought things were okay after last night, but this morning Kanyon was wheezing really bad. At 10:30am we saw his pediatrician and his oxygen level was down from where it was last night, so 3 breathing treatments later, it was lower still. He told us to head to the hospital so that could treat Kanyon a little more aggressively.

And here we are.

We've been here since with breathing treatments on the hour. Kanyon has been a trooper and is currently watching Toy Story 2. Luckily the pediatric wing here is equipped with such important things like that for the little ones. ;) He is doing better, but they wanted to keep him over night to moniter his oxygen level while he's sleeping.

Here are a few pics of his time ...

Scarlett just wanted to love on him - he wasn't too happy about it, but she was so excited to play on his cool bed.
Hospital food - he was pretty okay with it. But I didn't force him to eat his veggies... ;)
Kind of like home with a little bath... Seriously, those bath tubs were so small... definitely made with kids in mind.

And while this isn't Kanyon's first hospital stay... it's still so sad to see hospital gowns small enough for little kiddos... :(

Hope we get to go home early tomorrow!

Poor little Kanyon! Praying for a speedy recovery. I remember this happening with my brother a few times when he was little. He's strong and healthy now with no breathing issues.
