I got a sad phone call from my mom this morning. My Grandpa Shipp passed away sometime last night. He was put back in the care center on Saturday after repeated falls and a drop in his blood pressure. They really aren't sure what his actual cause of death was. This is the first of my grandparents for me to lose and it's been a hard morning. I haven't seen him since, I believe, last summer. His health has not been good for a long time now, but I wasn't really prepared to hear of this. I'm sad that Scarlett will never have met him and Kanyon was too young to really remember him at all.
As sad as this news is, my grandpa hated that care center and is undoubtly much happier where he is now...

I am so sorry about your grandpa!! Just going through that, I know how hard that is. You're totally right, the hardest thing to deal with is knowing your kids won't get to have a relationship with them. I just told myself that I'd always remind Paityn about all the wonderful people who have passed on! We're thinking of you!
